Just before the start of my three-day weekend, a message 💬 popped up from one of my best friends: “Steve, do you fancy a night away in the New Forest? 🌲 I need a chillax rest. It’d have to be tomorrow. I know you don’t work Fridays … could you find somewhere as I’m working till late? Fankooo!!!”
We hadn’t had a break together since August, so the answer was easy: Yes 🙌
I fired up Booking dot com, LateRooms and Airbnb 💻 with a few simple criteria: under £60 each for the night 💷, whole of house for AirBNB 🏡, separate beds 😆 and somewhere peaceful in Hampshire’s New Forest 🍃
I found us a cosy and peaceful Airbnb in Bashley, tucked away between Christchurch and Lymington 📍 Bestie said, “Steve, you did well!”. We’d already been to Lymington the month before so we explored a few other nearby spots instead — Christchurch, Milford-on-Sea, etc 🚗☕🍽️ Lush food and will be recreating the Roasted Chilli Asparagus in the photo!
Taking Fridays off isn’t just about having a long weekend, it is about taking the opportunity to creating space ✨ Taking (most) Friday’s off is a privilege, I get that, what do you do to create space for yourself?
